Rural Minds is a 501c3 nonprofit founded in 2021 with the mission to serve as the informed voice for mental health in rural America, and to provide mental health information and resources. The Rural Minds Partnership Council provides the forum for leaders of agricultural and biopharmaceutical companies and organizations to work together to confront rural mental health challenges and the stigma that surrounds mental illness.

The relationship between the two organizations began last year when Curious Plot team members selected Rural Minds as the 2022 Seed to Succeed pro bono grant recipient. Since then, the agency has provided the nonprofit with in-kind public relations, creative, social/digital and content strategy to advance Rural Minds’ goals and mission.

“Our relationship with Curious Plot has been a game changer for Rural Minds,” says Jeff Winton, a New York dairy producer, businessman and founder of Rural Minds. “We are excited to continue our partnership by welcoming Jim to the Rural Minds Partnership Council.”

By serving on the Rural Minds Partnership Council, Zumwalt will help advise and steer Rural Minds’ outreach initiatives and connect with new partners to help amplify the organization’s messages and services.

“I look forward to the opportunity to continue working with Rural Minds to address mental health challenges in rural communities,” said Jim Zumwalt. “The work they are doing to support mental health in rural America is vital to the sustainability of present and future generations in the agriculture industry.”
