Curious Plot Selects American Agri-Women as 2024 Seed to Succeed Partner

Annual pro bono grant will help AAW unite and amplify the voices of women in ag.

Curious Plot has selected American Agri-Women (AAW) as its 2024 Seed to Succeed grant program recipient, pledging to support the nonprofit organization via $75,000 of in-kind marketing services to further its mission.

American Agri-Women is the nation’s largest coalition of farm, ranch and agribusiness women with more than 20 affiliates and members in 42 states, united to communicate with one another and consumers to promote agriculture.

Curious Plot’s commitment to philanthropy and community giving in the markets it serves spans three decades. Since 2009, the Seed to Succeed pro bono grant program has provided marketing support to nonprofits within the food, agriculture and companion animal care sectors that work for positive change on limited budgets. Past recipients include American Farmland Trust, Rural Minds, Produce for Better Health Foundation, Grow North MN, Project Evergreen, Farm Journal Foundation, Southern Peanut Growers and Partnership for Food Safety Education.

“We are very honored to be chosen as Curious Plot’s 2024 grant recipient,” said Rose Tryon, president, AAW. “For 50 years, American Agri-Women has advocated for agriculture. We are excited to have the opportunity to work with Curious Plot to amplify our voice.”

“To date, our contributions to leading nonprofits have totaled nearly $725,000,” said Laurie Fleck, CEO of Curious Plot, a marketing, communications and consulting agency serving clients in the food, agriculture and companion animal care sectors. “By supporting organizations like American Agri-Women, we are not only giving back to the community but also actively contributing to the improvement and sustainability of the industries we serve.”

AAW was selected following an agencywide vote among the company’s 115 employees. Team members were effusive in their praise for AAW’s mission and the opportunity for Curious Plot to help the group make a difference.

“I selected American Agri-Women because, first, I love that it is women-focused. Also, I think Curious Plot could create something incredible for them, something that currently isn’t in their reach being that they have such a tight budget,” said one team member. “Supporting women in ag is extremely vital to the industry, and I love to see our agency champion the initiative for making ag a place by and for women.”

Curious Plot will help AAW celebrate its 50th anniversary, taking the opportunity to highlight accomplishments of AAW and its affiliates, while uniting women in agriculture and amplifying their voices.

“I like that this organization’s mission aligns with Curious Plot’s DEI objectives. I also appreciate the specificity in their marketing objective to surround a campaign goal where we can clearly help them move the needle,” added another team member.
